ABOUT ME

Greetings! My name is Jasmin Ibarra and I'm a First Generation, Mexican-American student from Sonoma State University. I received my B.A. in Biology with a Zoology concentration and minor in Geology in 2022. As you may of noticed by now, I have a strong passion for nature and all wildlife! From a young age I've always been fascinated with nature and all it has to offer. I always knew that I wanted to work alongside animals and educate others on their importance to our ecosystems. We often take animals for granted when in reality they have a lot to offer - especially when it comes to benefiting us.
I've decided to create this website in order to document all the wildlife I encounter on my hikes, walks, or trips. As I've learned from my biology courses, recording your wildlife accounts helps future generations to come. How you may ask? Such accounts can be used by scientists, politicians, conservationists, educators, and the list goes on! Overall, I would like to keep a personal account of the creatures I come across in order to retrace my steps and admire the beauty that they have to offer.
